Reviewing and Drafting Contracts

Will helps companies draft contracts as needed for their business.  For example, when clients seek non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, or sales agreements, Will helps them develop contracts that fit their needs.

Similarly, many people and businesses are given contracts from someone else to sign.  It is always a good idea to have a lawyer review those agreements so one can know what exactly the agreement means and to have a lawyer push back on any unreasonable, unfavorable, or unenforceable terms.

While many people try to save costs by making their own agreements without legal training, using forms they find on the internet, or asking generative AI to make contracts, it is much safer to have a lawyer perform this work.  Lawyers can advise a client on how contracts work in practice, craft agreements to align with a client’s strategic goals, and ask the right questions to make sure the agreement meets the client’s expectations.  Further, Will’s long experience as a litigator allows him to advise clients about how a court will interpret an agreement if a counterparty breaches or misinterprets it.  And his experience negotiating agreements frequently helps clients convince counterparties to accept favorable terms.

Will functions as a general counsel for companies that need reliable, effective contracts and that want to make sure they understand they agreements they enter.  And he does so far less expensively than the cost of hiring a full time in-house lawyer or a large law firm.
